Utopia Sprawl Studio

Utopia Sprawl is the Studio that make the Printable 3D Utopia come to life!

We are a unique mix of two passionate, driven souls combining several common interrests and skills into one venture. We are united in our passion for games and miniatures.

Our vision is to make real interresting and evocative terrain for your tabletop- and roleplaying games that are both fun and playable as well as easy to print and manufacture on your own 3D-printer at home.

Magnus Eriksson: "This is a work of love and contains the fruit of a thousand design issues formed into scenery that have poped up in my head as I have played and still play tabletop games and roleplaying games over the years. These ideas and concepts are now being developed into real printable scenery in the real world for you to enjoy."

Magnus Markus: "For the past couple of years I have built 3D printers and learning the craft of 3D printing from the inside out. It is more than a job for me, it is a way of living. To see and hold a thing in your hand that was just an idea a while ago really satifies something deep inside of me"

We both enjoy table top games, roleplaying games and board games: they are open ended hobbies and very rewarding on so many levels. It was only a natural next step for us to expand our passion into something like a Kickstarter to see what that will lead to. There is a lot to explore and develop.

This is also the result of two people´s imaginative and technical skills being fused together. We have only just begun. There is so much more to do. To add to the confusion we, the two counterparts was given the same name, namely Magnus. Sorry for the confusion this might cause.

They way we go about making our range of terrain is as follows: First comes from the hands and mind of Magnus Eriksson a creation made by hand. This can be a piece of terrain built with styrofoam, polymer clay or greenstuff. Now Magnus Markus scans the object and optimizes it to be further handled digitally in a 3D program. when it is in "liquid" digital form Magnus Eriksson then gets to work yet again to finalise and develop the sculpt further. Finally Magnus Markus makes sure that the print is smooth and easy to handle in the printer. During the whole process we discuss and make improvements so that the end result meet our standards.

We hope you like the things we develop and want to come with us on this journey to make awesome terrain and scenery for many years to come.

All the best! Magnus and Magnus
